The
Castle Inn will feature an increased beer range during the festival. The
real ales will be Oakwell Barnsley Bitter, Oakwell Senior, Bradfield
Farmers Blonde, Bradfield Farmers Bitter and Steel City Independence
Day.
Cider produced locally at Woodthorpe Hall in Holmesfield will also be available but be warned, its strong both in flavour and alcohol, yet surprisingly easy to drink! It is hoped that the new sun-trap beer garden at the rear of the pub will be complete in time for a grand opening at the festival! During the afternoon there will be a barbeque and outdoor games in the car park. In the evening there will be live music with Laughing Gravy playing. If you are planning on staying late to see the band after the festival bus has finished running, don't worry, it is just a 5 minute downhill walk to Dore & Totley railway station.
